A Typical Day at Little Dragons


The day’s program is designed to respect each child’s natural rhythm.

From 8:30 to 9:30 am, we start the day with a flexible reception, for those who come in the morning. For children who come only in the afternoon, we offer the option of joining us for lunchtime at midday, or for our afternoon activities beginning at 1 pm or at 3 pm.

Upon their arrival at school, the children can choose from the wide range of games and activities we offer: craft workshops with a teacher, educational group games, individual play, or occasionally a cooking workshop (preparing a cake for snack or bread). There is also time for reading and singing. The same activities are offered in the afternoon.

We go out for an excursion to a nearby park twice a day; in the morning just before lunch and in the afternoon, after naptime. This is a time for free play and shouting for our little dragons, who still need to expend their energy during the day. We have authorization from the Mairie du 17e arrondissement to access the play area as a school group and spend time there with our students.


Children’s meals are provided by parents. For a full day at our school, the children bring their own packed lunch and afternoon snack, inspired by the English “Lunch Box”. We have a kitchen with a large refrigerator, where all dishes are kept cool until lunchtime. We have two microwaves for reheating dishes, and an oven for all our cooking workshops.


For our youngest students, a two hour nap time is scheduled after lunch. During this period, we allow time for older children to engage in an array of educational activities and games we have available. Children are entitled to a “doudou” to help them rest during this quiet time.
